Sampling Services use X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometers (XRF Analyzers) to deliver fast, non destructive screening for the presence of metallic elements. Results are both qualitative and quantitative.

Screening Services
Sampling Service is able to offer fast, reliable XRF screening for heavy metals in toys and consumer goods. The XRF testing process is safe, quick and does not mark the product being tested.

We can screen for the following elements in plastics: Pb, Cd, Hg, Br, Cr, Cl, Sr, Ni, Sb, As, Se, Ba etc.

Our XRF analyzer can carry out RoHS compliance screening for Pb, Cd, Hg, total Cr and Br.

Make sure that your products conform to the following international Toy Standards: EN 71 and ISO 8124.3

What is RoHS?
RoHS is short for “ Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations”

The RoHS regulations restrict the use of mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium and a range of flame retardants notably polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.

Our XRF analyzer can carry out RoHS compliance screening for the following elements an:

• chromium
• bromine
